ORDINANCE NO. 040234
Amending
Chapter 80, Code of Ordinances, by adding a new section to be known as Section
80-11A0549, rezoning an area of approximately 34.31 acres generally located on
the south side of N.E. 72nd Street, approximately 800 feet west of N. Brighton
Avenue from District RA (Agricultural) to District R-2a (Two-Family
Dwellings). (12520-P-5)

IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:
Section
A. That Chapter 80, Code of Ordinances of the City of Kansas City, Missouri,
commonly known as the Zoning Ordinance, is hereby amended by enacting a new
section to be known as Section 80-11A0549, rezoning an area of approximately
34.31 acres generally located on the south side of N.E. 72nd Street,
approximately 800 feet west of N. Brighton Avenue from District RA
(Agricultural) to District R-2a (Two-Family Dwellings), said section to read as
follows:

80-11A0549. That an area legally described as:
All
that part of the Northwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section 20,
Township 51, Range 32, in Kansas City, Clay County, Missouri, described as
follows: Commencing at the northwest corner of said Section 20; thence South
89E1038 East, along the North line of the Northwest Quarter
of said Section 20, a distance of 361.50 feet to the point of beginning; thence
continuing South 89E1038 East, along said north line, a
distance of 950.13 feet to the northeast corner of said Quarter Quarter
Section; thence South 00E2711 West, a distance of 1308.24 feet
to the southeast corner of said Quarter Quarter Section; thence North 89E1822
West, a distance of 1306.76 feet to the southwest corner of said Quarter
Quarter Section; thence North 00E1427 East, along the west line of the
Northwest Quarter of said Section 20, a distance of 708.74 feet; thence South
89E1038 East, a distance of 361.50 feet; thence North 00E1427
East, a distance of 602.49 feet to the point of beginning. Containing 34.31
acres, more or less, subject to that part, if any, in NE 72nd Street.
is hereby
rezoned from District RA (Agricultural) to District R-2a (Two-Family
Dwellings), all as shown outlined on a map marked Section 80-11A0549, which is
attached hereto and made a part hereof, and which is hereby adopted as a part
of an amendment to the zoning maps constituting a part of said chapter and as
an amendment to Section 80-11 thereof.
Section
B. That the Council finds and declares that before taking any action on the
proposed amendment hereinabove, all public notices and hearings required by the
Zoning Ordinance have been given and had.
