ORDINANCE NO. 951313

 

Authorizing the Director of City Development to execute a $40,000.00 Cooperative Agreement with the Tax Increment Financing Commission for the preparation of a plan and studies in connection with the redevelopment of the Uptown Theatre; and directing the City Clerk to record certain documents with appropriate offices.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the Director of City Development, on behalf of the City, is authorized to enter into a Cooperative Agreement with the Tax Increment Financing Commission, in an amount not to exceed $40,000.00 for the preparation of plans and studies for the redevelopment of the Uptown Theatre from funds previously appropriated to Account No. 96-309-064-6207-T. A copy of the agreement is approved in substantial form as the Exhibit attached to this ordinance.

 

Section 2. That the City Clerk is directed to record copies of the Cooperative Agreement, together with this ordinance, in the Office of the Secretary of State of the State of Missouri and the director of Records for Jackson County, Missouri, at Kansas City, as provided by Section 70.300, RSMo.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
