ORDINANCE NO. 940614

Authorizing the Director of Public Works to expend $50,000.00 in previously appropriated funds for the City's fiscal year 94/95 share of the costs of the Dodson Area flood damage reduction feasibility study.

WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. 62734, passed July 14, 1988, the Council authorized an agreement with the United States of America, through its Corps of Engineers, for a flood damage reduction feasibility study of the Dodson Area with an authorized expenditure of $50,000.00; and

WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. 940073, passed February 10, 1994, the Council authorized an amendment to a previous agreement which increased City's obligation to $425,000.00 and duration to 75 months; NOW, THEREFORE,

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That the Director of Public Works is hereby authorized to expend the sum of $50,000.00 from funds heretofore appropriated to Account No. 95-309-089-6600T as and for the City's fiscal year 94/95 share of the cost of the aforesaid feasibility study.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
