ORDINANCE NO. 100515

 

Authorizing the Director of Water Services Department to enter into a $768,186.00 contract with AECOM Technical Services, Inc. for Contract No. 8578, Project No. 80001321, Waldo Pumping Station and Reservoir Rehabilitation; authorizing the Director of Water Services to expend $768,186.00 from previously appropriated funds to satisfy the costs of this contract; and authorizing the Director of Finance to return unexpended appropriations to the appropriate account.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the Director of Water Services Department is hereby authorized to execute, on behalf of Kansas City, Contract No. 8578, Project No. 80001321, in the amount of $768,186.00 with AECOM Technical Services, Inc., to provide a facility evaluation of the Waldo Pump Station, final design services, bidding phase services, construction phase services, construction phase project representation, and final construction documentation and record drawings of the Waldo Pump Station and Reservoir facility, which is located in Jackson County, Kansas City, Missouri. A copy of the contract is on file in the office of the Director of Water Services.

 

Section 2. That the Director of Water Services is authorized to expend up to the sum of $768,186.00 from funds previously appropriated to Account No. AL-8071-808084-B, Water & Sewer CD4, to satisfy the cost of this contract.

 

Section 3. That upon completion of the final costs of this contract, the Director of Finance is hereby authorized to return the unexpended portion of this appropriation to the Fund Balance from which it was derived.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
