ORDINANCE NO. 030394

 

Authorizing an agreement with the United States of America, through its Corps of Engineers, for the purpose of acquiring lands, easements and right-of-way to construct a flood control levee in the Dodson Industrial District and authorizing the Director of Public Works to expend $65,000.00 as the Citys share of the cost for the improvement.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the Director of Public Works is hereby authorized to enter into and execute, on behalf of the City, an agreement with the United States of America, through its Corps of Engineers, for the purpose of acquiring lands, easements, and right-of-way to construct a flood control levee in the Dodson Industrial District, in Kansas City, Missouri, Project No. 2535. The agreement shall be essentially in the form which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.

 

Section 2. That the Director of Public Works is hereby authorized to expend the sum of $65,000.00 from funds previously appropriated to Account No. 03-309-089-7519-T for the Citys share of the cost of the aforesaid improvement.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
