ORDINANCE NO. 040546

Authorizing execution of a $908,496.00 Cooperative Agreement with the Economic Development Corporation of Kansas City, Missouri, the Land Clearance for Redevelopment Authority of Kansas City, Missouri, the Port Authority of Kansas City, Missouri, and the Tax Increment Financing Commission of Kansas City, Missouri, for the purpose of providing funds for certain development and redevelopment services.

WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Council desire that EDC support and coordinate the activities of and provide professional staff for all of the economic development and redevelopment agencies operating on behalf of the City including the Land Clearance For Redevelopment Authority, the Port Authority of Kansas City and the Tax Increment Financing Commission; NOW, THEREFORE,

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That the Director of the Department of City Development is hereby authorized to execute a Cooperative Agreement, on behalf of the City, with the Economic Development Corporation of Kansas City, Missouri, the Land Clearance for Redevelopment Authority of Kansas City, Missouri, the Port Authority of Kansas City, Missouri and the Tax Increment Financing Commission of Kansas City, Missouri, in the amount of $908,496.00 for the purpose of providing funds for certain development and redevelopment services to be paid from funds previously appropriated to Account Nos. 05-1000-642000-B, Economic Development Corporation ($658,496.00) and 05-2640-642000-B, Economic Development Corporation ($250,000.00). A copy of the Cooperative Agreement, in substantial form, is attached hereto and is hereby approved.
