ORDINANCE NO. 030331

 

Amending Chapter 80, Code of Ordinances, by adding a new section to be known as Section 80-11A0472, rezoning an area of approximately 0.9 acres generally located at the southwest corner of St. John and N. Brighton Avenues from Districts R-2b (Two-Family Dwellings) and C-1 (Neighborhood Retail Business) to District R-4 (Low Apartments). (11086-P-1)

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section A. That Chapter 80, Code of Ordinances of the City of Kansas City, Missouri, commonly known as the Zoning Ordinance, is hereby amended by enacting a new section to be known as Section 80-11A0472, rezoning an area of approximately 0.9 acres generally located at the southwest corner of St. John and N. Brighton Avenues from Districts R-2b (Two-Family Dwellings) and C-1 (Neighborhood Retail Business) to District R-4 (Low Apartments), said section to read as follows:

 

Section 80-11A0472. That an area legally described as:

 

All of Lots 24, 25, 26, 27 and 28 of Block 8, Abington Park No. 2, a subdivision in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri and portions of the Northeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of Section 35, Township 50, Range 33, beginning at the southwest corner of St. John and Brighton Avenues, as now established; thence west along the south right of way line of St. John Avenue, 60 feet to the east line of Lot 28, Block 8, Abington Park No. 2; thence south 150 feet along said east line to the north line of Lot 26, Block 8, Abington Park No. 2; thence east 60 feet along said north line to the west right of way line of Brighton Avenue; thence north 150 feet along said right of way line to the point of beginning at said intersection, including all of the vacated alley lying north of Lot 26.

 

is hereby rezoned from Districts R-2b (Two-Family Dwellings) and C-1 (Neighborhood Retail Business) to District R-4 (Low Apartments), all as shown outlined on a map marked Section 80-11A0472, which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, and which is hereby adopted as a part of an amendment to the zoning maps constituting a part of said chapter and as an amendment to Section 80-11 thereof.

 

Section B. That the Council finds and declares that before taking any action on the proposed amendment hereinabove, all public notices and hearings required by the Zoning Ordinance have been given and had.
