ORDINANCE NO. 010423

Reducing an appropriation in the amount of $47,344.00 in the Construction Division account of the Sewer Fund; appropriating it to the 18th and Vine Public Improvements account; designating requisitioning authority; and authorizing execution of a contract amendment with the Planned Industrial Expansion Authority of Kansas City, Missouri, increasing the contract amount by $47,344.00 for a total of $357,977.00 for the purpose of installing storm sewers in the 18th and Vine area.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That the appropriation in the following account of the Sewer Fund is hereby reduced by the following amount:

00-811-080-7726-T Construction Division $47,344.00

Section 2. That the sum of $47,344.00 is hereby appropriated from the Unappropriated Fund Balance of the Sewer Fund to the following account in the Sewer Fund:

00-811-055-7310-T 18th & Vine Public Improvements $47,344.00

Section 3. That the Director of the Department of Housing and Community Development is hereby designated as requisitioning authority for Account No. 00-811-055-7310-T.

Section 4. That the Director of the Department of Housing and Community Development is hereby authorized to execute a contract amendment with the Planned Industrial Expansion Authority of Kansas City, Missouri, increasing the contract amount by $47,344.00 for a total amount of $357,977.00, for the purpose of providing funds for the installation of storm sewers in the 18th and Vine area to be paid from funds herein appropriated to Account No. 00-811-055-7310-T, 18th and Vine Public Improvements. A copy of the contract amendment, in substantial form, is attached hereto and is hereby approved.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
