ORDINANCE NO. 100662

 

Authorizing the Acting Director of the Neighborhood and Community Services Department and Fire Chief to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding with Jackson County, Missouri, to participate in the County's Drug Abatement Response Team (DART) Program; authorizing the Director of the Finance Department to accept funds in the amount of $41,000.00 from the Interdisciplinary Task Force Grant for this purpose; and directing the City Clerk to file the agreement with the appropriate offices.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That the Acting Director of the Neighborhood and Community Services Department, on behalf of Kansas City, is hereby authorized to execute a Memorandum of Understanding with Jackson County, Missouri to provide a code inspector in the amount of $36,000.00 from funds previously appropriated to Account No. 11-2340-575810-A to participate in the DART Program as specified in the Memorandum of Understanding, a copy of which is on file in substantial form in the office of the Acting Director of Neighborhood and Community Services.

Section 2. That the Fire Chief, on behalf of Kansas City, is hereby authorized to execute a Memorandum of Understanding with Jackson County, Missouri to provide a fire inspector in the amount of $5,000.00 from funds previously appropriated to Account No. 11-2340-232314-A to participate in the DART Program as specified in the Memorandum of Understanding, a copy of which is on file in substantial form in the office of the Acting Director of Neighborhood and Community Services.

Section 3. That the Director of the Finance Department, on behalf of Kansas City, is hereby authorized to accept payment in the amount of $41,000.00 from the Interdisciplinary Task Force Grant from Jackson County, Missouri, for the services the City provides to the DART Program as set forth in the Memorandum of Understanding, a copy of which is on file in substantial form in the office of the Acting Director of Neighborhood and Community Services.

Section 4. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to record a copy of the Memorandum of Understanding in the office of the Secretary of State of the State of Missouri and with the Department of Records of Jackson County, Missouri.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
