ORDINANCE NO. 090400

 

Authorizing the Director of Public Works to expend funds in an amount not to exceed $6,105,000.00 in accordance with the annual contract with Deffenbaugh Disposal Services, Inc. for the collection and disposal of residential refuse.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the Director of Public Works is hereby authorized to expend $6,105,000.00 in accordance with the annual contract (Contract No. EM050501) between Deffenbaugh Disposal Services, Inc. and the City for the collection and disposal of residential refuse during the period of May 1, 2009 to April 30, 2010 from previously appropriated funds in Account No. 10-1000-892320-B.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
