ORDINANCE NO. 140282

 

Authorizing the Director of Water Services to enter into a $2,400,000.00 construction contract with Mega Industries Corporation for the Emergency Power Generation – Group II (Portable Generation) project.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the Director of Water Services Department is hereby authorized to execute, on behalf of Kansas City, Contract No. 8256, Project No. 80000914, with Mega Industries Corporation, in the amount of $2,381,000.00 for the Emergency Power Generation – Group II (Portable Generation) project located in Jackson County, Kansas City, Missouri.  A copy of the contract is on file in the Office of the Director of the Water Services Department.

 

Section 2. That the Director of Water Services is authorized to expend up to the sum of $2,600,000.00, from Account AL-8073-807715-B-611060, Pump Stations, to satisfy the costs of this project.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
