Rezoning an area of approximately 116.85 acres generally
located on the southeast corner of N. Brighton Avenue and N.E. Soccer Drive
from District RA to District R-1b. (14101-P-1)
BE IT ORDAINED
BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:
Section A. That
Chapter 80, Code of Ordinances of the City of Kansas City, Missouri, commonly
known as the Zoning Ordinance, is hereby amended by enacting a new section to
be known as Section 80-11A0880, rezoning an area of approximately 116.85 acres
generally located on the southeast corner of N. Brighton Avenue and N.E. Soccer
Drive from District RA (Agricultural) to District R-1b (One-Family Dwellings),
said section to read as follows:
Section 80-11A0880. That an area
legally described as:
A
tract of land in the Southeast Quarter of Section 8 and Northeast Quarter of
Section 17, all in Township 51 North, Range 32 West of the 5th Principal
Meridian in Kansas City, Clay County, Missouri being bounded and described as
follows: Beginning at the Southeast corner of said Northeast Quarter; thence
North 88 degrees 48 minutes 53 seconds West, along the South line of said
Northeast Quarter, 2,562.29 feet; thence North 00 degrees 47 minutes 53 seconds
East, along a line 56.00 feet East of and parallel with the West line of said
Northeast Quarter, 2,361.87 feet; thence South 88 degrees 43 minutes 44 seconds
East, 406.92 feet; thence North 01 degrees 16 minutes 16 seconds East, 296.96
feet; thence North 12 degrees 30 minutes 00 seconds East, 66.14 feet to a point
on the South right-of-way line of N.E. 80th Street (also known as N.E. 76th
Street), as now established; thence Easterly, along said South right-of-way
line, on a curve to the right, having an initial tangent bearing of South 76
degrees 17 minutes 49 seconds East with a radius of 1,767.12 feet, a central
angle of 38 degrees 58 minutes 57 seconds and an arc distance of 1202.30 feet;
thence South 37 degrees 18 minutes 52 seconds East, continuing along said South
right-of-way line, 1,106.44 feet; thence Southeasterly, continuing along said
South right-of-way line, on a curve to the left, being tangent to the last
described course with a radius of 1,308.50 feet, a central angle of 26 degrees 06
minutes 59 seconds and an arc distance of 596.43 feet to a point on the East
line of said Northeast Quarter; thence South 00 degrees 46 minutes 58 seconds
West, along said East line, 864.46 feet to the Point of Beginning. Containing
5,090,107 square feet or 116.85 acres, more or less.
is hereby rezoned from District
RA (Agricultural) to District R-1b (One-Family Dwellings), all as shown
outlined on a map marked Section 80-11A0880, which is attached hereto and made
a part hereof, and which is hereby adopted as a part of an amendment to the
zoning maps constituting a part of said chapter and as an amendment to Section
80-11 thereof.
Section B. That
the Council finds and declares that before taking any action on the proposed
amendment hereinabove, all public notices and hearings required by the Zoning
Ordinance have been given and had.
