COMMITTEE SUBSTITUTE FOR ORDINANCE NO. 991336

Naming the Animal Shelter of Kansas City, Missouri, Sarah Lucito Municipal Animal Adoption Center.

WHEREAS, Sarah Lucitos tireless work to advance animal welfare were instrumental in the establishment of the Citys first quality animal shelter in 1972, and

WHEREAS, Sarah Lucitos commitment and dedication to the humane care of animals serves as an inspiration for all Kansas Citians, and

WHEREAS, the Council desires to name the Kansas City animal shelter in honor of Sarah Lucito; NOW THEREFORE,

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That the Kansas City animal shelter is hereby named the Sarah Lucito Animal Adoption Center.
