ORDINANCE NO. 070138

 

Rezoning an area of about 9.3 acres generally located on the east side of Central Street and both sides of Wyandotte Street and Baltimore Avenue between Linwood Boulevard and Armour Boulevard from Districts R-3 and C-3a2 to District R-1b and from District R-5 to District R-2b. (13722-P)

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section A. That Chapter 80, Code of Ordinances of the City of Kansas City, Missouri, commonly known as the Zoning Ordinance, is hereby amended by enacting a new section to be known as Section 80-11A0736, rezoning an area of approximately 9.3 acres generally located on the east side of Central Street and both sides of Wyandotte Street and Baltimore Avenue between Linwood Boulevard and Armour Boulevard from Districts R-3 (Low Apartments, Low Density) and C-3a2 (Intermediate Business, High Buildings), to District R-1b (One-Family Dwellings), and from District R-5 (High Apartments) to District R-2b (Two- Family Dwellings), said section to read as follows:

 

Section 80-11A0736. That an area legally described as:

 

The north 38 feet of Lot 1, Redemptorist College Place, a subdivision in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri;

 

Lots 6 through 27 inclusive, Block 1, Hyde Park, a subdivision in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri;

 

Lots 20 through 29 inclusive, Block 2, Hyde Park;

 

Lots 16 through 22 inclusive, Block 3, Hyde Park;

 

The east 63.35 feet of Lot 1 measured on the north line; Lots 2 through 8 inclusive; the north 35 feet of Lot 15; Lot 16; and Lot 19, Block 4 Hyde Park;

 

Lot 3; Lot 5; Lots 7 and 8; Lots 15 through 20 inclusive; the south 7 feet of the west 50 feet of Lot 21; and the east 75 feet of Lots 21 and 22, Block 5 Hyde Park

 

is hereby rezoned from District R-3 (Low Apartments, Low Density) to District R-1b (One-Family Dwellings), and

 

Lots 30 and 31, Block 2, Hyde Park

 

is hereby rezoned from District C-3a2 (Intermediate Business, High Buildings) to District R-1b (One-Family Dwellings), and

 

Lot 9, Block 5, Hyde Park

 

All in Section 17, Township 49 North, Range 33 West, Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri;

 

is hereby rezoned from District R-5 (High Apartments) to District R-2b (Two-Family Dwellings), all as shown outlined on a map marked Section 80-11A0736, which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, and which is hereby adopted as a part of an amendment to the zoning maps constituting a part of said chapter and as an amendment to Section 80-11 thereof.

 

Section B. That the Council finds and declares that before taking any action on the proposed amendment hereinabove, all public notices and hearings required by the Zoning Ordinance have been given and had.
