ORDINANCE NO. 970880

 

Authorizing the Director of Environmental Management to enter into a Personal Services contract with Andrew Bracker to serve as the "Brownfields Redevelopment Coordinator" for eighteen months and to expend for such services an amount not to exceed $93,000.00 plus $7,114.50 in FICA payments.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the Director of Environmental Management is hereby authorized to enter into a Personal Services Contract, on behalf of the City, and the Kansas City Brownfields Initiative project, with Andrew Bracker for a contract amount of $93,000.00 plus $7,114.50 in FICA payments for the purpose of serving as "Brownfields Redevelopment Coordinator" for the bi-state Kansas City Brownfields Initiative (KCBI) project. The contract shall substantially conform to the contract which is attached hereto and made a part hereof.

 

Section 2. That the Director of Environmental Management is hereby authorized to expend for this contract $78,000.00 in previously appropriated funds from Account No. 98-100-085-1430-B, and $22,114.50 in previously appropriated funds from Account No. 98-100-085-1000-B.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
