ORDINANCE NO. 110521

Amending Committee Substitute for Ordinance No. 100444, which approved certain contracts for the North Oak Corridor Streetscape Project, by repealing a subsection of that ordinance to correct a typographical error; repealing Committee Substitute for Ordinance No. 100029; and authorizing the Director of City Development to authorize time extensions for the project.

WHEREAS, Committee Substitute for Ordinance No. 100029 approved a contract with the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission and two other contracts for the North Oak Corridor Streetscape Project; and

WHEREAS, Committee Substitute for Ordinance No.100444 reapproved these contracts, with certain changed amounts, and intended to repeal the previous Committee Substitute for Ordinance No. 100029, but because of a typographical error instead stated that Ordinance No. 100299 was repealed; and

WHEREAS, delays in the project have necessitated time extensions; NOW, THEREFORE,  

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That Committee Substitute for Ordinance No. 100444 is hereby amended by repealing subsection 7 of that ordinance. 

Section 2.  That Second Committee Substitute for Ordinance No. 100299, as Amended, remains in effect as passed by this Council on June 10, 2010, and was not repealed by subsection 7 of Committee Substitute for Ordinance No. 100444.                    

Section 3. That Committee Substitute for Ordinance No. 100029 is hereby repealed.

Section 4. That the Director of City Development is authorized to grant reasonable time extensions for any contracts for the North Oak Corridor Streetscape Project that were approved in Committee Substitute for Ordinance No. 100444.
