ORDINANCE NO. 110860

 

Authorizing execution of the renewal of a lease agreement with Belger Cartage Service, Inc., for the use of City owned property located at 21st Street and Main Street, for parking purposes only.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the Director of General Services is hereby authorized to execute a lease agreement with Belger Cartage Service, Inc., for the use of the property generally located at 21st Street and Main Street, Jackson County, Missouri, and more particularly described as follows:

 

All of Lots 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, “Union Station” Addition, and those portions of lots 25, 26, 27, and 28, “Union Station” Addition, lying east of the east edge of the elevated span of the Main Street Bridge (sometimes known as the Main-Walnut Connector/Viaduct).

 

The property is to be used for parking purposes only, for a term of five years with one option to renew for an additional five year term with the lease beginning November 1, 2011, and ending, October 31, 2016, at a rate of $5,724.60 per year adjusted annually by the Consumer Price Index (CPI) plus one percent. A copy of the lease agreement is attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference.
