ORDINANCE NO. 940548

Authorizing the Director of Health to enter into an agreement with the AIDS Council of Greater Kansas City whereby it will coordinate a community-wide response to the HIV/AIDS epidemic for one year beginning May 1, 1994, for which the City will provide $75,000.00 in previously appropriated funding.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That the Director of Health is hereby authorized to enter into an agreement with the AIDS Council of Greater Kansas City, to provide a linkage of public and private agencies to facilitate a coordinated community-wide response to the HIV epidemic, for the period of May 1, 1994 through April 30, 1995, for an amount not to exceed $75,000.00 in funds previously appropriated in Account No. 95-100-050-2420B by Ordinance No. 940326. A copy of the agreement is attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
