ORDINANCE NO. 001261

Authorizing contract amendments for a total amount of $150,000.00 with Hope House, Inc., NEWHOUSE, Rose Brooks Center, and Synergy Services, Inc., for operation of shelters for battered persons.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That the Director of Neighborhood and Community Services Department is hereby authorized to execute contract amendments with the following agencies in their respective amounts for operation of shelters for battered persons from funds previously appropriated to Account No. 01-247-057-2005-B. The contract amendments are approved, in substantial form, as that on file with the City Clerk:

Hope House, Inc. $ 41,553.00

NEWHOUSE 45,067.00

Rose Brooks Center 38,153.00

Synergy Services, Inc. 25,227.00

TOTAL $150,000.00

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
