ORDINANCE NO. 021363

Authorizing expenditure of $125,000.00 in additional funds for Contract No. 534 Levee Sewer Outfall Inspections; and authorizing funding therefore.

WHEREAS, the City Council passed Ordinance No. 970117 in February, 1997, authorizing $317,000.00 in funds for Contract Levee Sewer Outfall Inspections; and

WHEREAS, additional work is required to complete this project; NOW, THEREFORE,

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That the Director of Water Services is hereby authorized to expend up to the additional sum of $125,000.00 to complete the work for Contract No. 534 Levee Outfall Sewer Inspection.

Section 2. That the Director of Water Services is hereby authorized to expend up to the sum of $33,702.00 from funds previously appropriated to Account No. 03-861-080-7761-T to satisfy the cost of completing the Levee Outfall Sewer inspections.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
