ORDINANCE NO. 031323

Authorizing a one year renewal of the Lease Agreement with K.C. Partners for office space, janitorial services, electrical services, water, heating and cooling for facilities located at 324 East 11th Street; and authorizing the expenditure of $248,880.00 from previously appropriated funds.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That the Director of Codes Administration is authorized, on behalf of the City, to execute a renewal of the Lease Agreement with K.C. Partners for one year beginning February 1, 2004, at the rate of $248,880.00 for the term of this renewal. A copy of the Lease and renewal, in substantial form, is attached hereto and is hereby approved.

Section 3. That the Director of Codes Administration is hereby authorized to expend up to the sum of $248,880.00 from funds in Account No. 04-100-025-1000-B.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
