ORDINANCE NO. 110857

 

Authorizing the Director of Convention and Entertainment Facilities to extend the three (3) year marketing agreement amendment with the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics, for one (1) additional year; and appropriating $50,000.00 in the Convention and Tourism Fund.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the Director of the Convention and Entertainment Facilities Department is hereby authorized to amend the current marketing agreement with the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics and extend it for one additional year, expiring on October 31, 2012.

 

Section 2. That $50,000.00 is hereby appropriated from the Unappropriated Fund Balance of the Convention and Tourism Fund, No. 2360, to the following account in the same fund:

 

12-2360-632018-B NAIA Marketing $50,000.00

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
