ORDINANCE NO. 940060

 

Amending Chapter 65, Revised Ordinances of Kansas City, Missouri, 1956, commonly known as the Zoning Ordinance, by adding a new section to be known as Section 65.010A2506, rezoning an area of approximately 1.67 acres generally located at 11300 Colorado Avenue from District R-1a (One-Family Dwellings) to District R-4 (Low Apartments). BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section A. That Chapter 65, Revised Ordinances of Kansas City, Missouri, 1956, commonly known as the Zoning Ordinance, is hereby amended by enacting a new section to be known as Section 65.010A2506, rezoning an area of approximately 1.67 acres generally located at 11300 Colorado Avenue from District R-1a (One-Family Dwellings) to District R-4 (Low Apartments), said section to read as follows:

 

Section 65.010A2506. That an area legally described as:

 

The [westerly] 220 feet of a tract of land located in the North Half of the North Half of the South Half of the Southeast Quarter of Section 2, Township 47 North, Range 33 West, Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri, being more particularly described as follows: The westerly 220 feet of a tract beginning at the northeast corner of Lot 2, KING'S QUARTERS, a subdivision of land in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri, according to the recorded plat thereof; said point being on the westerly right of way line of U.S. Highway 71 as now established; thence North 8713'22" West on the north line of said KING'S QUARTERS, a distance of 770.03 feet; thence North 0300'33" East a distance of 330.97 feet to the southwest corner of Lot 3, HICKMAN MILLS PROFESSIONAL PARK, a subdivision of land in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri, according the recorded plat thereof; thence South 8713'05" East on the south line of said HICKMAN MILLS PROFESSIONAL PARK a distance of 767.15 feet to the southwest corner of said HICKMAN MILLS PROFESSIONAL PARK, said point also being on the westerly right of way line of said U.S. Highway 71; thence South 0230'36" West on said westerly right of way line a distance of 330.91 feet to the point of beginning.

 

is hereby rezoned from District R-1a (One-Family Dwellings) to District R-4 (Low Apartments), all as shown outlined on a map marked Section 65.010A2506, which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, and which is hereby adopted as a part of an amendment to the zoning maps constituting a part of said chapter and as an amendment to Section 65.010 thereof.

 

Section B. That the Council finds and declares that before taking any action on the proposed amendment hereinabove, all public notices and hearings required by the Zoning Ordinance have been given and had.
