RESOLUTION NO. 120073
Honoring Kellie Johnston as a
Rich Noll Pacesetter for January 2012.
WHEREAS, the
Rich Noll Pacesetter Award has been established to honor City employees who
provide excellent service to the citizens of Kansas City, Missouri; and
WHEREAS, the
Rich Noll Pacesetter Award is named after Rich Noll, who worked for the City of
Kansas City in a variety of capacities over his 26 year career and always
exemplified the best attributes of City government in those capacities
including customer service, responsiveness, timeliness and teamwork; and
WHEREAS, as a
City Planner, Kellie has done an exemplary job working with area residents,
business owners and key stakeholders to develop plans that are consistent with
the desires of the community; and
WHEREAS, Kellie’s
ability to address complex issues with a skillful eye is one of her best
attributes; and
WHEREAS, Kellie
developed an outline for how to work with area residents to develop a community
Charette to determine what type of development should replace the recent
destruction of a historically important building near the corner of Prospect
and Independence Avenue by putting together an outline and coordinating with
area organizations to once again maintain the character of this rich and
historic district; and
WHEREAS, Kellie’s
work ethic is highly admired by her co-workers and residents alike and she goes
the extra mile to ensure that no extra hardships are created; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED
BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:
That the Mayor
and Council hereby recognize Kellie Johnston as a Rich Noll Pacesetter for the
month of January 2012; and
BE IT FURTHER
RESOLVED that this Resolution be spread upon the Minutes of the Council in
testimony thereof and that a copy hereof be presented to Kellie Johnston with
the thanks of the Mayor and Council for her dedication and service to the citizens
of Kansas City, Missouri.
