RESOLUTION NO. 130647

 

Amending the Future Land Use Map of the Town Fork Creek Neighborhood Plan on an approximately 0.318 acre tract of land, generally located at 3630 and 3634 E. 58th Terrace, by changing the recommended land use from residential low-density to mixed use.

 

WHEREAS, the Council adopted the Town Fork Creek Neighborhood Plan through the passage of Resolution No. 051300, passed November 17, 2005, as a guide for the future development and public investment within the area bounded by Swope Parkway on the north, 63rd Street on the south, Swope Parkway on the east and Prospect Avenue on the west; and

 

WHEREAS, an application was submitted by Riad Baghdadi, to amend the Future Land Use Map of the Town Fork Creek Neighborhood Plan as it affects a 0.318 acre tract of land area generally located at 3630 and 3634 E. 58th Terrace, by changing the recommended land use from residential low-density to mixed use in order to permit a proposed rezoning; and

 

WHEREAS, the City Plan Commission considered the amendment to the Future Land Use Map of the Town Fork Creek Neighborhood Plan on August 6, 2013; and

 

WHEREAS, after all interested persons were given an opportunity to present testimony, the City Plan Commission did on August 6, 2013, recommend approval of the proposed amendment to the Future Land Use Map of the Town Fork Creek Neighborhood Plan; NOW, THEREFORE,

 

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section A. That the Town Fork Creek Neighborhood Plan is hereby amended as to the Future Land Use Map for an approximately 0.318 acre tract of land, generally located at 3630 and 3634 E. 58th Terrace, by changing the recommended land use from residential low-density to mixed use. A copy of the Future Land Use Map of the Town Fork Creek Neighborhood Plan is attached hereto as Exhibit A.

 

Section B. That the Council finds and declares that before taking any action on the proposed area plan amendment hereinabove, all public notices have been given and hearings have been held as required by law.
