Transferring funding for
Correctional Services from the Neighborhood and Community Services Department
to the Municipal Court; designating requisitioning authority; and recognizing
an emergency.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE
COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:
Section 1. That the
following accounts in the General Fund are reduced by the following amounts:
13-1000-572210-A Correctional
Services $ 584,412.00
13-1000-572210-B Correctional
Services 3,640,712.00
13-1000-572210-C Correctional
Services 13,105.00
TOTAL $4,238,229.00
Section 2. That
$4,238,229.00 is appropriated from the Unappropriated Fund Balance of the
General Fund to the following accounts:
13-1000-272210-A Correctional
Services $ 584,412.00
13-1000-272210-B Correctional
Services 3,640,712.00
13-1000-272210-C Correctional
Services 13,105.00
TOTAL $4,238,229.00
Section 3. That the
following account in the Inmate Security Fund is reduced by the following
amount:
13-2760-572210-B Correctional
Services $ 175,000.00
Section 4. That
$175,000.00 is appropriated from the Unappropriated Fund Balance of the Inmate
Security Fund to the following account:
13-2760-272210-B Correctional
Services $ 175,000.00
Section 5. That the Administrator
of Municipal Courts is designated as requisitioning authority for Account Nos.
13-1000-272210 and 13-2760-272210.
Section 6. That this
ordinance is recognized as an emergency measure within the provisions of
Section 503 of the City Charter in that it appropriates money, and shall take
effect in accordance with that section.

there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation
to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance,
otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which
payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
