ORDINANCE NO. 980716

 

Authorizing the execution of an easement with the Kansas City Power and Light Company for the construction and maintenance of electrical facilities on City-owned property generally located at 4725 Coal Mine Road.

 

WHEREAS, it has been determined that an easement is necessary to construct and maintain electrical facilities in the vicinity of 4725 Coal Mine Road; NOW, THEREFORE,

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the Director of the Department of City Development is hereby authorized to execute an agreement granting an easement to the Kansas City Power and Light Company on City-owned property in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri, generally located at 4725 Coal mine Road at the District Three Street Maintenance Yard, which easement is legally described as follows:

 

A strip of land 10 feet in width being a part of the southwest 1/4 of the northwest 1/4 of Section 25, Township 49, Range 33, in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri, lying 5 feet on each side of the following described centerline beginning at the southeast corner of said 1/4 1/4; thence west along the south line of said 1/4 1/4 a distance of 5 feet; thence north and parallel with the east line of said 1/4 1/4 a distance of 73 feet to a point hereby designated as Point A; thence continuing on north and parallel with the east line of said 1/4 1/4 a distance of 675 feet to the point of termination.

 

Also a strip of land 10 feet in width lying 5 feet on each side of the following described centerline; beginning at aforesaid Point A; thence southwesterly deflecting 132 degrees left from the last forward course establishing aforesaid Point A a distance of 40 feet to a point hereby designated as Point B; thence northwesterly deflecting 58 degrees right a distance of 268 feet to the point of termination.

 

Also a strip of land 10 feet in width lying 5 feet on each side of the following described centerline; beginning at aforesaid Point B; thence southeasterly deflecting 132 degrees left from the last forward course establishing aforesaid Point B a distance of 30 feet to the point of termination.
