ORDINANCE NO. 950786

Authorizing an amendment to an agreement for legal services with Lathrop & Norquist, L.L.C., Burke, Williams, Sorensen & Gaar, and Herbert E. Hardwick.

WHEREAS, the City Council passed Committee Substitute for Ordinance No. 931073, approving an agreement with Lathrop & Norquist, L.L.C., Burke, Williams, Sorensen & Gaar, and Herbert E. Hardwick for legal services in connection with the issuance of general obligation and revenue bonds; and

WHEREAS, there is one remaining bond issue under the terms of the agreement to be completed; and

WHEREAS, Lathrop & Norquist, L.L.C., desires to be relieved of its obligations under the agreement for the one remaining issue; and

WHEREAS, the remaining work can be satisfactorily performed by the remaining firms at the same cost as contemplated in the agreement; NOW, THEREFORE,

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That the City Attorney is authorized to execute an amendment to the Agreement for Legal Services with Lathrop & Norquist, L.L.C., Burke, Williams, Sorensen & Gaar, and Herbert E. Hardwick dated December 1, 1993, which is approved in substantial form as the attached amendment.
