RESOLUTION NO. 060040

Extending the time in which the Commission on Violent Crime will provide its report to the Mayor and City Council from January 12, 2006 to March 2, 2006.

WHEREAS, the Commission on Violent Crime was established by Resolution No. 051238, As Amended; and

WHEREAS, the Commission was asked to report to the Mayor and Council by January 12, 2006; and

WHEREAS, the Commission has diligently worked toward that goal, but requires additional time to prepare its report; and

WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council wish to provide the Commission with the time necessary to properly prepare its report; NOW, THEREFORE,

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

That the Commission on Violent Crime shall submit its report and recommendations to the Mayor and Council no later than March 2, 2006
