ORDINANCE NO. 100323

Creating and establishing Fund No. 6670, to be known as the MAST Escrow Fund.

WHEREAS, the current operations of MAST will soon be consolidated into the operations of the City’s Fire Department and the employees of MAST will soon become City employees; and

WHEREAS, after becoming employees of the City, these former MAST employees will need to elect between two types of retirement systems or plans in which to participate; and

WHEREAS, because this election will be made after employer contributions have begun and after deductions of the employee contributions from the City paychecks of these former MAST employees have begun, there is a need to create and establish within the financial records of the City a separate fund within which to deposit these contributions; NOW, THEREFORE,

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That the Fund No. 6670, to be known as the MAST Escrow Fund, is hereby established in the records of the City of Kansas City, Missouri.
