ORDINANCE NO. 940979
Amending Chapter 65, Revised Ordinances of Kansas City,
Missouri, 1956, commonly known as the Zoning Ordinance, by adding a new section
to be known as Section 65.010A2532, rezoning an area of approximately 22.5
acres generally located at the northwest quadrant of I-435 and Grandview Road
from District R-2b (Two-Family Dwellings) to District R-1a (One-Family
Dwellings).
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:
Section A. That Chapter 65, Revised Ordinances of
Kansas City, Missouri, 1956, commonly known as the Zoning Ordinance, is hereby
amended by enacting a new section to be known as Section 65.010A2532, rezoning
an area of approximately 22.5 acres generally located at the northwest quadrant
of I-435 and Grandview Road from District R-2b (Two-Family Dwellings) to
District R-1a (One-Family Dwellings), said section to read as follows:
Section 65.010A2532. That an area legally described
as:
All of Lot 1 and Lot 2, Cleveland Acres and all that
part of the South One-Half of the Northeast Quarter of Section 34,
Township 48, Range 33 in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri, together
with beginning at the southwest corner of said Northeast Quarter thence
east along the south line thereof 1348.23 feet to a point in the
centerline of a public road known as Grandview Road; thence in a
northwest direction along the centerline of Grandview Road, which
centerline makes a northwest angle of 7440' with the south line of said
Quarter Section, a distance of 326.33 feet to the point of beginning of
the tract to be herein described; thence northwesterly along a line
which makes a northwest angle of 7256'45" with the centerline of
Grandview Road 1267.88 feet to a point in the west line of said Quarter
Section; thence north along said west line 436.07 feet; thence east and
parallel to the south line of said Quarter Section 1143.59 feet; to a
point in the centerline on Grandview Road thence southeasterly along the
centerline of Grandview Road 491.58 feet to the point of beginning.
is hereby rezoned from District R-2b (Two-Family
Dwellings) to District R-1a (One-Family Dwellings), all as shown outlined on a
map marked Section 65.010A2532, which is attached hereto and made a part
hereof, and which is hereby adopted as a part of an amendment to the zoning
maps constituting a part of said chapter and as an amendment to Section 65.010
thereof.
Section B. That the Council finds and declares that
before taking any action on the proposed amendment hereinabove, all public
notices and hearings required by the Zoning Ordinance have been given and had.
