ORDINANCE NO. 970121

 

Amending Chapter 80, Code of Ordinances of the City of Kansas City, Missouri, 1996, commonly known as the Zoning Ordinance, by adding a new section to be known as Section 80-11A0023, rezoning an area of approximately 119 acres generally bounded by N. Oak Trafficway on the west, N. Woodland Avenue on the east, Interstate 435 on the north, and N.E. Cookingham Drive on the south from District RA (Agricultural) to District R-1a (One-Family Dwellings). (11892-P)

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section A. That Chapter 80, Code of Ordinances of the City of Kansas City, Missouri, 1996, commonly known as the Zoning Ordinance, is hereby amended by enacting a new section to be known as Section 80-11A0023, rezoning an area of approximately 119 acres generally bounded by N. Oak Trafficway on the west, N. Woodland Avenue on the east, Interstate 435 on the north, and N.E. Cookingham Drive on the south from District RA (Agricultural) to District R-1a (One-Family Dwellings), said section to read as follows:

 

Section 80-11A0023 That an area legally described as:

 

A tract of land located in the East Half of Section 23, Township 52 North, Range 33 West, also partly in the Northwest Quarter of Section 24, Township 52 North, Range 33 West of Kansas City, Clay County, Missouri. More particularly described as follows: Commencing at the northeast corner of Section 23, Township 52 North, Range 33 West, also being the point of beginning, thence South 89 31'24" East, along the north line of Section 24, Township 52 North, Range 33 West, a distance of 850.83 feet, thence South 86 15'34" East a distance of 462.45 feet; thence South 00 23'52" West, a distance of 1307.71 feet; thence North 89 29'29" West, a distance of 1311.84 feet to a point on the east line of Section 23, Township 52 North, Range 33 West; thence South 00 22'12" West, along the east line of Section 23, Township 52 North, Range 33 West, a distance of 1293.17 feet; to a point on the north right of way of Missouri Route 291, also known as Cookingham Drive; thence North 89 10'33" West, along said right of way line, a distance of 1312.66 feet; thence North 00 22'27" East a distance of 2,617.30 feet to the north line of Section 23, Township 52 North, Range 33 West; thence South 89 34'34" East along the north line of Section 23, Township 52 North, Range 33 West, a distance of 463.23 feet; thence South 77 00'42" East, a distance of 102.27 feet; thence South 89 06'07" East, a distance of 400.00 feet; thence North 76 06'53" East, a distance of 103.40 feet to a point on the north line of Section 23, Township 52 North, Range 33 West; thence South 89 34'34" East along the north line of Section 23, Township 52 North, Range 33 West, a distance of 249.20 feet to the point of beginning. Containing 118.76 acres, more or less.

 

is hereby rezoned from District RA (Agricultural) to District R-1a (One-Family Dwellings), all as shown outlined on a map marked Section 80-11A0023, which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, and which is hereby adopted as a part of an amendment to the zoning maps constituting a part of said chapter and as an amendment to Section 80-11 thereof.

 

Section B. That the Council finds and declares that before taking any action on the proposed amendment hereinabove, all public notices and hearings required by the Zoning Ordinance have been given and had.
