ORDINANCE NO. 951355

 

Authorizing a $324,000.00 agreement with HNTB Corp. for the Ruskin Heights Infiltration & Inflow Study; and appropriating $359,880.00 in funding therefor.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the Director of Water Services is hereby authorized to execute, on behalf of City, a $324,000.00 agreement with HNTB Corp. for the Ruskin Heights Infiltration & Inflow Study. A copy of said contract is on file in the office of the Director of Water Services.

 

Section 2. That the balance in Account No. 95-817-086-7795-T is hereby reduced by the sum of $359,880.00.

 

Section 3. That the sum of $359,880.00 is hereby reappropriated from the Unappropriated Fund Balance of the 1995 Sewer Revenue Bond Fund to the following account:

 

96-817-086-7601-T Ruskin Heights I&I $359,880.00

 

Section 4. That the Director of Water Services is further authorized to expend up to the sum of $359,880.00 appropriated above to satisfy the cost of this contract including contingencies and staff administration and engineering.

 

Section 5. That upon completion of the final costs of this project, the Director of Finance is hereby directed to return the unexpended portion of this appropriation to the Unappropriated Fund Balance from which it was derived.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
