COMMITTEE SUBSTITUTE FOR ORDINANCE NO. 951402

Authorizing a one year contract between the City and the Missouri Department of Health, whereby the City will provide breast and cervical cancer screening and follow-up for low income, under insured women for $58,315.00; reducing a revenue account by $27,308.00; increasing a revenue account by $30,333.00; and appropriating $3,025.00 to the 96 Chronic Disease Cancer Control account.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That a contract between the Kansas City, Missouri Health Department, acting through its Director of Health, and the Missouri Department of Health, acting through its Director of Health, whereby the City will provide breast and cervical cancer screening and follow-up for low income, under insured women, with an effort to target minority women, for the period of July 1, 1995 to June 30, 1996, for which the State will provide funding in the amount of $58,315.00, is hereby authorized and approved. A copy of the contract is attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference.

Section 2. That the revenue in the following account of the General Fund is hereby decreased by the following amount:

95-100-050-7212 95 Breast and Cervical Cancer Grant $27,308.00

Section 3. That the revenue in the following account of the General Fund is hereby increased by the following amount:

96-100-050-7213 96 Breast and Cervical Cancer Grant $30,333.00

Section 4. That the sum of $3,025.00 is hereby appropriated from the Unappropriated Fund Balance of the General Fund Account No. 100-3390 to the following account in the General Fund:

96-100-050-2300-A 96 Chronic Disease Cancer Control $ 3,025.00

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
