ORDINANCE NO. 070427

 

Authorizing execution of a permanent easement for power line and appurtenances for Kansas City Power and Light Company for construction, maintenance, and repair of power lines on City-owned property at 4700 E. 63rd Street; and directing the City Clerk to record this ordinance with the easement in the Office of the Recorder of Deeds for Jackson County, Missouri.

 

WHEREAS, an easement is necessary to supply additional electrical power to the Disaster Recovery Center at 4700 E. 63rd Street; NOW, THEREFORE,

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the Director of the Water Services Department is hereby authorized to execute a permanent easement for Kansas City Power and Light Company on City-owned property in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri, said easement legally described as follows:

 

A tract of land 15.00 feet in width, located in and being part of Tract 1, (as recorded in Instrument No. 2001K0002848 in the Register of Deeds Office in Jackson County, Missouri) in the Northeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of Section 2, Township 48, Range 33 in said County, the centerline of which is described as follows:

 

Commencing at the Northeast corner of said Quarter Quarter Section, then South along the West Line of said Quarter Quarter, a distance of 1246.30 feet, then North 90 00 00 East a distance of 19.06 feet, to the Point of
Beginning, then North 67 02 16 East a distance of 147.45 feet, then South 87 03 37 East a distance of 61.91 feet to the Point of Termination, except that part in the road Right of Way.

 

Section 2. That upon the effective date of this Ordinance and execution of the easement, the City Clerk is hereby directed to cause this Ordinance and the easement to be recorded in the Office of the Recorder of Deeds for Jackson County, Missouri.
