COMMITTEE SUBSTITUTE FOR ORDINANCE NO. 030542

 

Amending Ordinance No. 001585 by repealing Section 2 thereof and enacting in its place a new section, revising the legal description for Project Area 1 of the Parvin Road Corridor Tax Increment Financing Plan.

 

WHEREAS, the City Council of Kansas City, Missouri by Ordinance No. 54556, passed on November 24, 1982, and thereafter repealed and amended in certain respects by Committee Substitute to Ordinance No. 911076, as amended, passed on August 29, 1991, created the Tax Increment Financing Commission of Kansas City, Missouri (the "Commission"); and

 

WHEREAS, on December 14, 2000, the Council passed Ordinance No. 001638, which approved the Parvin Road Corridor Tax Increment Financing Plan and designated the Redevelopment Area as an economic development area (the Redevelopment Plan); and

 

WHEREAS, the Redevelopment Plan and ordinances contemplate the implementation of the Redevelopment Plan through four separate Redevelopment Project Areas and the adoption of tax increment financing in each of the areas selected for such Redevelopment Projects; and

 

WHEREAS, on December 14, 2001, the Council passed Ordinance No. 001585 approving Project Area 1, the legal description of which requires revision; NOW, THEREFORE,

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That Ordinance No. 001585 is hereby amended by repealing Section 2 and enacting a new Section 2 in its place to read as follows:

 

Section 2. The area selected for Parvin Road Corridor Redevelopment Project Area 1 is legally described as follows:

 

Project Area 1A

All that part of the Northeast Quarter and all that part of the Southeast Quarter of Section 4, Township 50, Range 32, Kansas City, Clay County, Missouri, being described as follows: Beginning at the Northeast Corner of the Southeast Quarter of said Section 4; thence South 0E4546 West, along the East line of Great Midwest Commerce Center-District 1, a subdivision of land in Kansas City, Clay County, Missouri, 1806.17 feet to the Southeast corner thereof; thence South 88E5607 West, along the Southerly line of said Great Midwest Commerce Center-District 1, 103.78 feet; thence Northwesterly, along said Southerly line, on a curve to the right, tangent to the last described course, having a radius of 1432.40 feet, an arc distance of 625.00 feet; thence North 66E0353 West, along said Southerly line, 317.78 feet; thence North 23E5607 East, along the Westerly line of Lot 3, said Great Midwest Commerce Center-District 1 and its Southerly prolongation, 408.00 feet to the Northwest corner thereof; thence South 75E3137 East,

is approved and designated as Parvin Road Corridor Project Area 1 (the Redevelopment Project), effective December 14, 2000 (the Original Effective Date). The actions of all City officials and the Tax Increment Financing Commission of Kansas City, Missouri, in allocating, paying, depositing, receiving and/or disbursing payments in lieu of taxes or economic activity taxes for Redevelopment Project Area 1, which have been approved after the Original Effective Date, but prior to the effective date of this ordinance, are hereby ratified and approved.
