ORDINANCE NO. 930475

Authorizing a contract with Modern Maintenance, Inc. for cleaning services at City Hall for Fiscal Year 1993-94 in an amount not to exceed $267,136.00, payable on a monthly basis.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That the work of cleaning the City Hall building at 414 East 12th Street, Kansas City, Missouri, is hereby provided for and authorized.

Section 2. That the Director of Public Works is hereby authorized to enter into a contract with Modern Maintenance, Inc., in an amount not to exceed $267,136.00 for custodial cleaning services at City Hall for the period beginning with the date stated in the official Notice to Proceed through April 30, 1994. A copy of the said contract is on file in the office of the Director of Public Works and is incorporated herein by reference.

Section 3. That the Director of Public Works is hereby authorized to expend the sum not to exceed $267,136.00 from funds heretofore appropriated to Account No. 100-089-1200B as and for consideration in the aforesaid contract.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
