ORDINANCE NO. 950755

Authorizing the Director of Public Works to enter into an agreement with Boyd, Brown, Stude & Cambern for engineering services for the replacement of Bannister Road Bridge over the Little Blue River and to expend $95,200.00 in previously appropriated funds therefor, and appropriating $238.00 to the Youth Employment Fund.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That the Director of Public Works is hereby authorized to enter into and execute on behalf of the City an agreement between Boyd, Brown, Stude & Cambern, and Kansas City, Missouri, relating to engineering services in connection with the replacement of Bannister Road Bridge over the Little Blue River in three phases:

Phase 1: Conceptual Study Phase 2: Final Design Phase 3: Construction Services

in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri, Council District Nos. 5 and 6, Project No. 5392. The agreement shall be essentially in the form which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.

Section 2. That the Director of Public Works is hereby authorized to expend the sum of $95,200.00 from funds heretofore appropriated to Account No. 96-309-089-7620-T as and for consideration in the aforesaid agreement.

Section 3. That the appropriation in the following account of the Capital Improvement Fund is hereby reduced by the following amount:

96-309-089-7620-T Bannister Road over Little Blue River $238.00 CD 5 and 6

Section 4. That the sum of $238.00 is hereby appropriated from the Unappropriated Fund Balance of the Capital Improvement Fund to the following account in the Capital Improvement Fund:

96-309-012-9089-B Transfer to Youth Employment Fund $238.00

Section 5. That the revenue in the following account of the Youth Employment Fund is hereby reestimated in the following additional amount:

96-244-089-9202 Transfer from Capital Improvement Fund $238.00

Section 6. That the sum of $238.00 is hereby appropriated from the Unappropriated Fund Balance of the Youth Employment Fund to the following account in the Youth Employment Fund:

96-244-089-7004-T Quarter Percent for Youth Employment Fund $238.00

Section 7. That the Director of Finance is hereby authorized to transfer $238.00 from the Capital Improvement Fund to the Youth Employment Fund.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
