COMMITTEE SUBSTITUTE FOR ORDINANCE NO. 970519

 

Authorizing the Director of Health to execute and enter into a leasing agreement with Metropolitan Ambulance Services Trust for real property located at 5829-5835 Troost.

 

WHEREAS, Committee Substitute for Ordinance No. 53775 and Ordinance No. 50800, adopted by the City Council on September 6, 1979, created the Metropolitan Ambulance Services Trust (MAST) for the purpose of providing ambulance service within the City; and

 

WHEREAS, the premises shall be used as an ambulance service headquarters or other uses related to providing an ambulance service; and

 

WHEREAS, the agreement shall terminate on April 30, 2012; and

 

WHEREAS, Metropolitan Ambulance Services Trust shall pay to the City, within thirty days of approval of this agreement by the City Council of the City of Kansas City, Missouri , the sum of $100.00 in complete consideration for Metropolitan Ambulance Services Trust's occupancy of the property during the term of his agreement; NOW, THEREFORE,

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the Lease Agreement between the City of Kansas City, Missouri, and Metropolitan Ambulance Services Trust, a copy of which is attached hereto, leasing properties located at 5829-5835 Troost, a copy of the legal description is attached as Exhibit "A" and described more particularly in the Lease Agreement, is hereby authorized and approved.

 

Section 2. That the Director of Health is authorized to executed the Lease Agreement on behalf of the City.
