ORDINANCE NO. 000890
Amending
Chapter 80, Code of Ordinances, by adding a new section to be known as Section 80-11A0290,
rezoning an area of approximately 44 acres generally located at 10121 Grandview
Road from District R-1b (One-Family Dwellings) to District R-5 (High
Apartments). (6346-P-3)

IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:
Section
A. That Chapter 80, Code of Ordinances of the City of Kansas City, Missouri,
1996, commonly known as the Zoning Ordinance, is hereby amended by enacting a
new section to be known as Section 80-11A0290, rezoning an area of
approximately 44 acres generally located at 10121 Grandview Road from District
R-1b (One-Family Dwellings) to District R-5 (High Apartments), said section to
read as follows:
Section
80-11A0290. That an area legally described as:
All that part of the Northeast Quarter (NE 1/4)
of Section 34, Township 48, Range 33 in Jackson County, Missouri, described as
follows: Beginning at a point which is 800 feet north of the south line and
696.50 feet west of the east line of said NE 1/4; thence west and parallel to
the south line of said NE 1/4, 803.36 feet to a point in the center of a public
road known as Grandview Road, thence southeasterly along the centerline of
Grandview Road, which centerline makes a southeast angle of 64E with the last described course, 4.22
feet; thence in a southerly direction along the centerline of Grandview Road,
which line deflects to the right 10 - 40E
from the last described course, 422.18 feet; thence east and parallel to the
south line of said NE 1/4, 695.44 feet to a point; thence north and parallel to
the east line of said NE 1/4, 411.00 feet to the point of beginning, except
part in Grandview Road.
All that part of the Northeast Quarter (NE 1/4)
of Section 34, Township 48, Range 33, Jackson County, Missouri, described as
follows: Beginning at a point 400 feet west of the southeast corner of the
Northeast Quarter of Section 34, Township 48, Range 33; thence north in a
straight line parallel to the east line of the Northeast Quarter of Section 34,
Township 48, Range 33, a distance of 800 feet; thence west 296.50 feet to a
point; thence south 411 feet; thence west 695.44 feet to a point in the
centerline of Grandview Road; thence southeasterly along the centerline of
Grandview Road, 403.30 feet to the south line of the Northeast Quarter of
Section 34, Township 48, Range 33; thence east along said Quarter Section line
893 feet to point of beginning, except part thereof in Grandview Road.
And all that part of the Northeast Quarter (NE
1/4) of Section 34, Township 48, Range 33, in Jackson County, Missouri,
described as follows: Beginning at a point 800 feet north of the south line and
800 feet west of the east line of said Quarter Section; thence north along a
line parallel to the east line of said Quarter Section 452.76 feet to a point;
thence west along a line parallel to the north line of said
Quarter
Section, 854.53 feet to a point in the centerline of a public road, which point
is 1254.36 feet north from (measured at right angles thereto) the south line of
said Quarter Section; thence in a southerly direction along the centerline of
said public road, which centerline makes a southeast angle of 81E45'57" with the last described course, 173.34 feet to a point;
thence in a southerly direction along the centerline of said public road, which
line deflects to the left from the last described course, 17E52'40", 314.71 feet to a point, which point is 800 feet north of
the south line of said Quarter Section measured along a line parallel to the
east line of said Quarter Section; thence East 699.86 feet to the point of
beginning. Containing 8.28 acres, except part thereof in Grandview Road.
All that
part of the Northeast Quarter (NE 1/4) of Section 34, Township 48, Range 33, in
Jackson County, Missouri, described as follows: Beginning a point 1252.76 feet
north of the south line and 800 feet west of the east line of said Quarter
Section, thence north along a line parallel to the east line of said Quarter
Section, 400 feet to a point which is 991.8 feet south of the north line of
said Quarter Section; thence west along a line parallel to north line of said
Quarter Section, 905.28 feet to point in the centerline of a public road;
thence in a southerly direction along the centerline of said public road which
centerline makes a southeast angle of 81E45'57" with
the last described course, 404 feet to a point which is 1254.36 feet north from
(measured at right angles thereto) the south line of said Quarter Section,
thence east 854.53 feet to the point of beginning. Containing 8.08 acres.
That
part of the Northeast Quarter (NE 1/4) of Section 34, Township 48, Range 33, in
Jackson County, Missouri, described as follows: Beginning at the southeast
corner of said Quarter Section; thence north along the east line of said
Quarter Section, 800 feet to a point; thence west along a line parallel to the
south line of said Quarter Section, 400 feet to a point; thence south along a
line parallel to the east line of said Quarter Section; 800 feet to a point in
the south line of said Quarter Section thence east 400 feet to the point of
beginning, except part deeded to the State of Missouri for Interstate Highway I-435.
is hereby rezoned from
District R-1b (One-Family Dwellings) to District R-5 (High Apartments), all as
shown outlined on a map marked Section 80-11A0290, which is attached hereto and
made a part hereof, and which is hereby adopted as a part of an amendment to
the zoning maps constituting a part of said chapter and as an amendment to
Section 80-11 thereof.
Section B. That
the Council finds and declares that before taking any action on the proposed
amendment hereinabove, all public notices and hearings required by the Zoning
Ordinance have been given and had.
