ORDINANCE NO. 130514

 

Rezoning a 1.9 acre tract of land generally located at the southwest corner of E. 67th Street and Troost Avenue from Districts B3-2/ R-0.5 to District R-1.5. (8889-P-20)

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section A. That Chapter 88, Code of Ordinances of the City of Kansas City, Missouri, commonly known as the Zoning and Development Code, is hereby amended by enacting a new section to be known as Section 88-20A933, rezoning an area of approximately 1.9 acre tract of land generally located at the southwest corner of E. 67th Street and Troost Avenue from Districts B3-2/ R-0.5 (Community Business dash 2/ Residential dash 0.5) to District R-1.5 (Residential dash 1.5), said section to read as follows:

 

Section 88-20A933. That an area legally described as:

 

That portion of Tract "A", Baptist Medical Center, Second Plat, a subdivision in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri, according to the recorded plat thereof, described as follows: Beginning at the southeast corner of said Tract "A", said point being on the west right-of-way line of Troost Avenue as now established; thence on Missouri State Plane bearings, North 86 degrees 43 minutes 17 seconds West (North 86 degrees 43 minutes 43 seconds West, plat), coincident with the south line of said Tract "A", 333.56 feet; thence North 02 degrees 20 minutes 06 seconds East, 250.00 feet to the north line of the Northeast Quarter of Section 8, Township 48 North, Range 33 West; thence South 86 degrees 43 minutes 17 seconds East (South 86 degrees 43 minutes 43 seconds East, plat), coincident with the north line of said Northeast Quarter, 333.19 feet to the east line of said Tract "A"; thence South 02 degrees 14 minutes 56 seconds West (South 02 degrees 14 minutes 06 seconds West, plat), 250.00 feet to the point of beginning, containing 83,331 square feet or 1.91 acres, more or less.

 

is hereby rezoned from Districts B3-2/ R-0.5 (Community Business dash 2/ Residential dash 0.5) to District R-1.5 (Residential dash 1.5), all as shown outlined on a map marked Section 88-20A0933, which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, and which is hereby adopted as a part of an amendment to the zoning maps constituting a part of said chapter and in accordance with Section 88-20 thereof.

 

Section B. That the Council finds and declares that before taking any action on the proposed amendment hereinabove, all public notices and hearings required by the Zoning Ordinance have been given and had.
