ORDINANCE NO. 990944

Authorizing execution of a one year $7,200.00 Lease Agreement with Palestine Neighborhood Development Corporation for office space for code enforcement and other City staff at facilities located at 3449 Indiana.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That the Director of the Department of Neighborhood and Community Services is authorized to execute, on behalf of the City, a Lease Agreement with Palestine Neighborhood Development Corporation, Inc., for a one year term, beginning May 1, 1999 and terminating April 30, 2000, for office space, janitorial services, electrical services, water, heating and cooling, use of fax machine and copy machine, for code enforcement and other City staff at 3449 Indiana at a rate of $7,200.00 for the entire term to be paid from funds previously appropriated in Account No. 00-100-057-2532-B. A copy of the Lease Agreement, in substantial form, may be obtained in the offices of Neighborhood and Community Services.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
