ORDINANCE NO. 961470

 

Authorizing the Director of Public Works to execute a cooperative agreement with Missouri Highway and Transportation Commission and Woodward-Clyde Consultants relating to Phase II Hazardous Waste Investigation on the Front Street/River Front Road and Chouteau Trafficway roadway right-of-way; adjusting appropriations by $250,000.00 and authorizing the Director of Public Works to expend it for the project; authorizing the Director of Public Works to expend $175,300.00 in previously appropriated funds therefore; and directing the City Clerk to file same.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the Director of Public Works is hereby authorized to enter into and execute, on behalf of Kansas City, a three party agreement between the Missouri Highway and Transportation Commission, Woodward-Clyde Consultants, and the City of Kansas City, Missouri, relating to Phase II Hazardous Waste Investigation for the proposed Route JCR, along the Chouteau Connection, from Route I-35 to Route 210 in Clay County and from Deramus Avenue to Front Street in Jackson County, and along the Front Street portion, from Route I-35/I-29 to Route I-435, Job No. J4U1293, in Council District No. 1, Project No. 5352. The agreement shall be essentially in the form which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.

 

Section 2. That the sum of $250,000.00 is appropriated from the Unappropriated Fund Balance of the Motor Fuel Tax Fund to the following account in the Motor Fuel Tax Fund:

 

97-206-089-7186-T Chouteau Bridge Replacement $250,000.00

 

Section 3. That the Director of Public Works is hereby designated as requisitioning authority for Account No. 97-206-089-7186.

 

Section 4. That the Director of Public Works is hereby authorized to expend the sum of $175,300.00 from funds heretofore appropriated to Account No. 97-206-089-7186-T as and for consideration in the aforesaid agreement.

 

Section 5. That when this ordinance becomes effective, the City Clerk shall cause a copy of the ordinance, with attachments, to be recorded in the office of the Recorder of Deeds for Jackson County and filed with the Secretary of State of Missouri in compliance with Section 70.300, RSMo.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
