COMMITTEE SUBSTITUTE FOR RESOLUTION NO. 090341

Stating the intention of the Council regarding advance funding of certain capital projects

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That the Council hereby states its intention to provide funding, up to the amount estimated for certain capital projects, including design work, in the Five-Year Capital Improvements Program, as soon as possible to allow the City to begin work on the projects which meet the following criteria:

a. The project is programmed in the Five-Year Capital Improvements Program and the amount to be provided does not exceed the amount recommended in the Program.

b. Bids or responses for the work have been received and the project would go forward if capital improvements funds were available for the contract.

c. The aggregate amount of funds provided in accordance with this resolution shall not exceed the total amount appropriated for projects in the Capital Improvements Program in the current fiscal years budget, which includes unexpended balances of appropriations classified as capital improvements in the Capital Improvements Fund from previous fiscal years.

d. Using funds for these projects from allocations for other projects will not delay the projects from which the funds are taken.
