ORDINANCE NO. 001349

Reducing and appropriating $1,216,650.00 in the Local Use Tax Fund for the purpose of paying for increased street resurfacing costs and recognizing an emergency.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That the appropriation in the following account of the Local Use Tax Fund is hereby reduced by the following amount:

01-210-089-7000-T Capital Improvement Reserve $1,216,650.00

Section 2. That the sum of $1,216,650.00 is hereby appropriated from the Unappropriated Fund Balance of the Local Use Tax Fund to the following account in the Local Use Tax Fund:

01-210-089-7701-T Street Preservation $1,216,650.00

Section 3. That this ordinance, making provision for the immediate preservation of public property and safety, is declared to be an emergency measure within the meaning of Section 15, Article II of the Charter and shall take effect in accordance with said section.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
