ORDINANCE NO. 010326

 

Authorizing the Director of City Development to offer for sale four vacant lots located at 6300 Longview Road, a parcel located at 51st and Norton/Jackson and two parcels in an area from 41st to 42nd and Clark along Southwest Trafficway.

 

WHEREAS, all City departments have been notified that this property is in excess to the needs of the City and no interest has been expressed in retaining the property for future public use; NOW, THEREFORE,

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the Director of City Development is hereby authorized to offer for sale by competitive bids the vacant parcels located at 6300 Longview Road, a parcel at 51st and Norton/Jackson and two parcels in an area from 41st to 42nd and Clark along Southwest Trafficway, said property being more particularly described as:

 

6304 Longview Road - All of Lot 6, Resurvey of Lots 20, 21, 22, 23, Block 6, Kings Hickman Orchards, in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri, according to the recorded plat thereof, and except that part in street right-of-way.

 

51st and Norton/Jackson - North one-half of Lots 1 and 2 and 3 thru 7 of Nortonbrook, a subdivision in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri, according to the recorded plat thereof.

 

Two Parcels - Excess right-of-way at 41st and Clark from 41st to 42nd and Clark, along Southwest Trafficway:

 

TRACT 1: Being parts of Tracts 338, 339, 340 and 341 in Condemnation Ordinance No. 13786, passed June 30, 1950:

 

All that part of Lots 9 and Lot 10 and the north 80.5 feet of Lot 8, Louis Vogles Fourth Addition, a subdivision of record in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri, lying easterly of a line being 66 feet easterly of and parallel to the centerline of Southwest Trafficway, as described in Ordinance No. 14022, passed September 18, 1950, and containing approximately 16,962 square feet, more or less.

 

TRACT 2: Being parts of Tracts 345, 346, 347 and 348, in Condemnation Ordinance No. 13786, passed June 30, 1950:

 

All that part of Lots 10 and 11, Louis Vogles Third Addition, a subdivision of record in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri, lying easterly of a line being 66 feet easterly and parallel to the centerline of Southwest Trafficway, as described in Ordinance No. 14022, passed September 18, 1950, and containing approximately 6,880 square feet, more or less.

 

The centerline of Southwest Trafficway as described in Ordinance No. 10422, passed


September 18, 1950, said Tracts 1 and 2 lying between and left of Stations 17+00 and 21+40 of said centerline: Beginning at Station 0+00 which point is 1.35 feet north of the centerline of 38th Street and the centerline of Summit Street produced from the north, thence south with an angle of 0E20'50" to the right a distance of 0.13 feet to a point, said being Station 0+00.13; thence southwesterly on a curve to the right, said curve being tangent to the last described line, point of tangency being Station 0+00.13, and with a radius of 10,931.66 feet, a distance of 1,481.99 feet to a point, said point being Station 14+82.12; thence continuing on a curve to the right, tangent to the last described curve, said curve having a radius of 2,191.6 feet, a distance of 386.98 feet to a point, said point being Station 18+69.10; thence southwesterly tangent to the last described course a distance of 832.9 feet to a point, said point being Station 27+02 and point of separation of northbound and southbound roadways.
