COMMITTEE SUBSTITUTE FOR ORDINANCE NO. 980731

 

Authorizing a $60,000.00 one-year professional services agreement with one one-year renewal option with Spencer Fane Britt & Browne LLP for bankruptcy legal services for the Aviation Department and the expenditure of previously appropriated funds in the amount of $60,000.00.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the City Attorney is hereby authorized to execute a $60,000.00 one-year agreement with one one-year renewal options for bankruptcy legal services for the Aviation Department with Spencer Fane Britt & Browne LLP. The City Attorney is authorized to exercise one one-year option to renew upon the terms and conditions set forth in this agreement, subject to the appropriation of funds for the renewal year. A copy of the agreement is on file in the office of the City Clerk.

 

Section 2. That the Director of Aviation is hereby authorized to expend the following amount heretofore appropriated to the Kansas City Airports Fund for work to be performed under the agreement:

 

99-821-062-1000-B1024 Legal Services $60,000.00.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
