RESOLUTION NO. 110133

 

Honoring Ron Borst for his years of service to the Kansas City community.

 

WHEREAS, Ron Borst has been an active and outstanding member of the EDC Board from 1990-2011; and

 

WHEREAS, Ron Borst has served on a number of boards of local agencies that promote the economic well being of Kansas City, including the EDC Loan Corporation, Kansas City Industrial Council, Full Employment Council Workforce Investment Board and the Planned Industrial Expansion Authority; and

 

WHEREAS, Ron Borst has been the past president of Blue Valley Association, the past present and retired lector for St. Patrick’s Church as well as an Explorer Scout Leader; and

 

WHEREAS, Ron Borst served on the Wet Weather Panel that provided valuable insight that lead to City-wide policies concerning green solutions and stream buffers; and

 

WHEREAS, Ron Borst is the CEO and Chairman of Clay and Bailey Manufacturing; NOW, THEREFORE,

 

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

That the Mayor and Council hereby honor Ron Borst for his years of service to the Kansas City community; and

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution be spread upon the Minutes of the Council in testimony thereof and that a copy hereof be presented to Ron Borst in token of the Mayor and Council’s high esteem with which they hold him for many years of service and dedication to the community.
