RESOLUTION NO. 190958

Approving an application to the United States Environmental Protection Agency for a Brownfields RLF Coalition Grant in the amount of $1,000,000.00; authorizing the City of Kansas City, Missouri to enter into a coalition with Jackson County, Missouri, and, the Unified Government of Wyandotte County/Kansas City, Kansas and to submit the Grant; and authorizing the Director of City Planning and Development to enter into a Memorandum of Agreement with Coalition members.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That the application to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for a Brownfields Revolving Loan Fund (RLF) Coalition Grant (“Grant”) in the amount of $1,000,000.00 for the assessment of hazardous waste brownfield sites and petroleum brownfield sites located in the bi-state region, a copy of which, in substantial form is attached hereto, is hereby approved.

Section 2. That the City of Kansas City, Missouri (the “City”) enter into a coalition with Jackson County, Missouri and the Unified Government of Wyandotte County/Kansas City, Kansas (“UG”) to submit the Grant.

Section 3. That the Director of the Department of City Planning is authorized to enter into a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with MARC, Jackson County, Missouri and the UG concerning the implementation of the Grant, if awarded.
