ORDINANCE NO. 140913

 

Amending Ordinance No. 001588 to revise the legal description of the Parvin Road Corridor Tax Increment Tax Increment Financing Redevelopment Area 3B-1.

 

WHEREAS, pursuant to the Real Property Tax Increment Allocation Redevelopment Act, Sections 99.800 to 99.865 of the Revised Statutes of Missouri, as amended (the “Act”), the City Council of Kansas City, Missouri by Ordinance No. 54556 passed on November 24, 1982, and thereafter amended in certain respects by Committee Substitute for Ordinance No. 911076, As Amended, passed on August 29, 1991, Ordinance No. 100089, As Amended, passed on January 28, 2010, and Ordinance No. 130986, passed on December 19, 2013, created the Tax Increment Financing Commission of Kansas City, Missouri (the "Commission"); and

 

WHEREAS, on December 14, 2000, the City Council passed Ordinance No. 001638, which approved the Parvin Road Corridor Tax Increment Financing Plan and designated the Redevelopment Area as an economic development area (the Redevelopment Plan); and

 

WHEREAS, the Redevelopment Plan has been amended from time-to-time; and

 

WHEREAS, the Redevelopment Plan and ordinances contemplate the implementation of the Redevelopment Plan through separate Redevelopment Project Areas and the adoption of tax increment financing in each of the areas selected for such Redevelopment Projects; NOW, THEREFORE,

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section A. That Ordinance No. 001588 is hereby amended by repealing Section 2 and enacting a new Section 2, to read as follows:

 

Section 2. The area selected for Parvin Road Corridor Redevelopment Project Area 3B-1 legally described as follows:

 

All that part of Section 2, Township 50, Range 32, Kansas City, Clay County, Missouri, being more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the Southwest corner of the Southeast Quarter of said Section 2; thence South 89 degrees 16 minutes 30 seconds East, along the North line of said Southeast Quarter, 145.01 feet; thence South 0 degrees 13 minutes 34 seconds West, 290.01 feet; thence North 89 degrees 16 minutes 30 seconds West, 145.01 feet to a point on the West line of said Southeast Quarter; thence South 0 degrees 13 minutes 34 seconds West, along said West line, 525.02 feet; thence South 33 degrees 48 minutes 15 seconds West, 342.95 feet; thence North 89 degrees 24 minutes 30 seconds West,

Containing 68.16 acres, more or less. All lying above the Winterset Ledge of limestone rock where Winterset Ledge is present. Where Winterset Ledge of limestone rock is not present all lying above elevation 700 (NAVD 88) 

 

is approved and designated as Parvin Road Corridor Project Area 3B-1 (the “Redevelopment Project”).
